Gorgeously Garnet

To celebrate our bride's birthdays, each month we are going to post inspirations from that month's birthstone.

January's birthstone is the garnet. The name garnet comes from the Latin word for pomegranate, whose glistening, jewel-like seeds resemble the stone. Like the pomegranate, the garnet is said to bring fertility, righteousness and healing, making it the perfect stone to be given as an engagement gift. In fact, long before diamonds were the popular choice, garnets were the traditional engagement stone. Happy Birthday, January brides!
